Pressure Creates Diamonds.” – General. George Patton.
This famous quote can be interpreted both literally and figuratively. Diamonds are created when exposed to extremely high temperatures. However, in this instance, it can be applied in the figurative sense and compared to the challenges we face in our daily interactions.

”If there’s no struggle, there’s no progress.”- Frederick Douglass.
At one point or the other we have all been guilty of becoming complacent and comfortable with our situations. Whether it may be personally or professionally. We go through life, following our usual routines, without realising precious time is being lost that could never be regained where we could be living to our optimal potential.

On the flip side, there are those who try their best to advance in their chosen area, only to be met with adversity at all corners. Don’t despair! Continue to do an outstanding job. Make a habit out of going the extra mile.

”Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”- James 1:2-3
In closing. Favourable circumstances cannot result without being met with difficulties. Using the analogy of the diamond creation process, adversity, or an unfavourable situation can either make you or break you. Those who keep on keeping on, and honour their journey, their character becomes like that of a polished diamond.
